CULTURAL TOURISM AND THE EXPERIENCE ECONOMY

This article aims to examine the development of cultural tourism in the context of the concept of experience economy. It presents the essence of experience economy as a stage of social and economic progress and conditionality of socio-economic and substantive dimensions of tourism from this progress. The article systematizes the major contemporary transformations of cultural tourism as an experience. Proposals for development of cultural tourism on the principles of experience economy are formulated, in the context of the examined relationship between the experience economy and tourism.
