Abstract
It is known that changes within the language system relate to the greatest extent to vocabulary as the most ‘mobile’ component. The purpose of this article is to analyze the characteristics of the variability of the lexical component of the Finnish variant of the English language, common in the East of the North America. The results show that currently there is a trend towards the expansion of the lexical unit of the contact Finglish language into the areas of information and communication technologies, industry and business. Separately a layer of jargon, slang and professional vocabulary of Finglish is allocated.
