Abstract
Polluted environment is threatening survival on planet earth. Boundaries of any nation cannot limit these environmental problems to a particular country and region but its impact is global one. This large scale environmental degradation has caused a global concern about the conservation and protection of the earth environment. Hence efforts are being made for inculcating environmental consciousness or awareness among the masses. It is education which can make the human being conscious and knowledge about environment and environmental problems. Moreover, awareness is essential for the action. Study can help the teacher in developing a sense of responsibility and urgency in students regarding environmental problems, in developing feelings, attitude and value for improving environment, to organize seminar worksheet on environment issue like soil corrosion, population explosion, etc, policy makers to suggest such methodology to develop environmental awareness. Provide basics understanding of the total environment and its associated students, curriculum framers to make provision for developing environment awareness among students, developing positive attitude of teacher and students towards environmental awareness. Special emphasis should be given out on the perspective B.Ed. teachers because they are tomorrow teacher and educating them in fact educating a generation. From time to time, for creating environmental awareness among students and general public various campaigns can be launched.
