Abstract

The article is devoted to tapeworms (in plathyhelminthes : Cestoda) one of the parasitic groups, the damaging of the Terek barbel (Barbus ciscaucasicus Kessler). It was found that this species, endemic fish of the basin of the Terek river within the Kabardino-Balkar Republic infected with three species of cestodes ? Khawia sinensis Hsu, 1935; Bathybothrium rectangulum (Bloch, 1782) and Bothriocephalus opsariichthydis (Yamaguti, 1934). Provides information about the degree of destruction of the Terek barbel these types of parasites depending on the age, sex and other biological characteristics of fish from the natural food resources of ponds, as well as elevation of the various watercourses of the CBD.
