On environmental fafety of Kremenchug reservoir fish resources

Abstract
The article presents the data concerning the significance of scientific researches of Kremenchug reservoir fish resources. The consumption and catch of fish products in Ukraine is analyzed. It is established that the increase of Ukrainian population supply with fish and fish products is possible by rational use of the potential of inland freshwater reservoirs, including Kremenchug. The growth of pike perch, catfish, silver carp, perch catch is analyzed. It requires the development of measures as to creation of quality of products made of these kinds of fish. In recent years the level of carp, bream, perch and other freshwater fish catch is stable. It gives the reason to enterprises of food industry, commerce and scientific groups to focus on these kinds of fish in order to expand the range of fish products. The data are focused on the ecological situation of reservoir within Cherkasy and Cherkasy region as one of the factors influencing the quality and safety of fish resources. The absence of phenomena of the reservoir technogenic pollution is established. It allows unrestricted use of fish from this pond for food purposes.
