Abstract

It has been shown recently that sphingolipids of cell membranes decaying under the conditions of chronic inflammation (which play the main role in pathogenesis of chronic hypoxia at bronchial asthma) can be used as key markers of development of inversive and nonreversible wheezing [7]. Nevertheless, there is a certain gap in the knowledge on how the structure and functional properties of lymphocyte cell membranes change under the conditions of chronic inflammation, characteristic of severe uncontrollable forms of bronchial asthma (and status asthmaticus, in particular) and how the standard (basic) therapy influences these parameters, the main principles of which are recommended by GINA (2015). This research is aimed at studying structural and functional properties of lymphocyte membranes at patients with uncontrollable bronchial asthma and status asthmaticus
