LEXICAL AND GRAMMATICAL PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATION OF OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS

The article studies basic characteristics of official discourse, examines lexical and grammatical peculiarities of business documents translation. The authors introduce the reasons prompting mistakes in course of translation, arising from inadequacy in conveying meanings being driven by the difference between the source language and language of translation. The article studies grammatical features of cliché's translation and criteria applied to the choice of terminology and lexical equivalents.
