PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF STUDENTS ON THE MATERIAL OF LITERARY LOCAL HISTORY

Abstract

Modern dynamic processes in Ukraine related to the reform in education, actualize the problem of patriotic education of the younger generation. Regional culture has unique opportunities to influence the formation of personality and her national philosophy, spirituality, morality, statement of love for the motherland. Analysis of the theory and practice of literary history work in schools Transcarpathia at present shows that the component in question patriotic sense of regional component of literary regional studies in the scientific literature is given insufficient attention. This in turn limits the use of literary regional studies for the education of patriotic feelings. On the basis of encyclopaedias, the essence of the concept of "patriotism" has been disclosed. It has been proved that the most important priority of national-patriotic education at the present stage is the formation of value attitude of the individual to the nation, homeland, state, nation. It has been shown that love for one's homeland is one of the defining features of every conscious citizen. As a quality synthetic, patriotism involves moral and effective treatment for themselves and others, to nature, to the ethnic group, nation, to the material and spiritual heritage of society. The paper presents the means of implementation - the history, nature, literature, art native land. To carry out patriotic education means reasonably approximate local history literary contents directions as integral components of a comprehensive means of educational activities: historical and cultural, folk and artistic, poetic. In the context of the study concluded that the most effective means of educating patriotic feelings of the individual is fiction literature of his native land. Poetry, prose and literary art of his native land make it possible to solve the following educational objectives: establish in the minds and feelings of the individual patriotic values, beliefs and respect for regional cultural and historical past; deepen knowledge about the history of his native land; shape national consciousness and active citizenship; generate strong interest and respect for the symbols of his native land; educate humanity, wisdom, love for native land and language of their fathers and grandfathers; form a tolerant attitude to other peoples, cultures and traditions; promote understanding spiritual connection with their native land. Filling all parts of the educational process content, which comprehensively reflects the culture of his native land, ensure the formation in students a deep sense of patriotism.
