AESTHETIC ARTISTIC AND VOLUMETRIC SOLUTION OF THE MONUMENTAL WORKS OF SCULPTOR AKIF ASGAROV

The article includes information about the artistic features of the monumental works created by Akif Asgarov, the honored art worker, national artist and sculptor, in different periods. In 1996 the monument to mar- tyrs – generals of about 3 m was erected in Urmia, Iran, in order to eternalize the memory of Azerbaijani gener- als killed in Iran-Iraq war. The sculptures dedicated to the generals such as Hamid Bakiri, Mehdi Bakiri and Amini gained fullness with their valour and bravery expressed in their poses and portrait lines. Sculptor Akif Asgarov, together with Salhab Mammadov, created Aliagha Vahid's scupture in Masazir settlement, Mehdi Huseynzade's sculpture in Novkhani village and Frides Podmaninski's memorial plaque in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, in 2010. Akif Asgarov created in Baku the memorial monument of Academic Yusif Mammadaliyev in 1998, the sculpture of Bul-bul, the representative of Azerbaijani music, in 2012
