New Areas of Library Work Help IDPs: Theoretical, Methodological and Applied Aspects

The paper contains an analysis of promising forms and technologies of library work which could satisfy the information requests of a new target group of library users - internally displaced persons (IDP). Libraries informational and analytical work on study internally displaced persons’ problems, the research direction on the study of the effectiveness of library assistance to immigrants and participants of the anti-terrorist operation are considered. The experience of leading national libraries, regional universal scientific and public library institutions in the process of informational, sociocultural assistance of internally displaced persons has been studied. The consolidating role of libraries in the national program of adaptation of internally displaced persons, their integration into the host community is shown.
