Abstract

Forests offer different benefits to the local and global levels including the global importance of carbon appropriation and contribution to national and domestic resources to millions of users across the world. Common forests are particularly important due to various derived in daily life. Based on the original data of 80 common forests in 10 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the article shows that the area of the forests and the standards of local self-government are correlated with the stock of carbon, and benefits from the environment in life. The study affirms that local communities restrict their consumption of forest products if they have community forests, which increases the storage of CO2. To prove that autonomy and responsibility standards are different and important influences on the results of the forests, the article results are for international initiatives to curb climate change. The study identified no effect of the local authorities andthe Government with carbon sequestration benefits. On the contrary, a significant impact of distance from forest commons on livelihood based on the difference from forest commons was found with no correlation between the carbon storage and the benefits derived from these forests. The spread of the forest commons and ownership of forest commons had a positive association with livelihood benefits and carbon storage.
