Abstract

Computerizing and automating each division of industry is very important step for increasing efficiency and diminishing human related blunders. In this project we illustrate the industrial product sorting process by utilizing PLC (programmable logic controller). In numerous industries job pieces having variations in their details are proceeded onward same conveyor belt. These job pieces should be separated at different areas in the assembling line. For this reason we can utilize the robotized automated procedure used to sort the materials. After completion of manufacturing the products proceed onward the conveyor belt. Sensors at different places detect and distinguish the job pieces. They set everything at better places dependent on their specifications. Finally, here we have built up a low cost automatic sorting system for arranging the light weight objects as per the colour variety. This system consists of a conveyor setup on which the sorting process takes place. This whole procedure is controlled according to the program dumped in PLC. A generally utilized technique for programming a PLC is based on the utilization of ladder diagrams. Here PLC inputs are given from the detection sensors when they detects the coloured objects. The output signals from PLC is sent as input to the eight channel relay board. Relay board output is further used for controlling the product sorting process. The flow of the sorting process at conveyor belt is controlled by the ON/OFF delay timer instructions given by the PLC ladder diagram
