The essence and content of professionalization of teachers in the context of lifelong education

Abstract

Article considers the professionalization of teachers in the context of lifelong education. It is noted that it affects the socio-economic progress of society and is a component of humanitarian security of the state, as it affects the level of security and protection of the specialist and, consequently, their family, which is an important component of society. It is indicated that teacher's professionalization is aimed at increasing professional competitiveness in terms of integration processes, scientific and technological progress and adaptation to various internal and external changes throughout life. It is emphasized that it includes multifaceted worldview training, improvement of professional knowledge, skills, abilities and other qualities, development of self-awareness, culture, productive self-concept, emotional, volitional and intellectual sphere of personality, their creative potential, motivation of achievements and so on. It is noted that during professionalization the teacher deepens the worldview through philosophical, pedagogical and psychological education, masters modern methods of scientific knowledge, ICT teaching aids, improves the foreign language skills, increases the level of readiness for creative and effective learning, improves pedagogical skills. It is emphasized that this process continues throughout professional life and is provided through formal, non-formal and informal education. On the basis of the concept of pedagogical skill developed by I. Ziaziun modern directions of professional development of teachers are outlined. It is noted that in scientific research professionalization is considered from the standpoint of pedagogy, psychology, acmeology and sociology. Based on the concept of subject-activity professional work of E. Klimov and professional development of D. Super, the main stages of professionalization of teachers as well as the conditions that will help enhance its effectiveness in the context of lifelong learning are singled out and characterized
