Abstract

In the article the most vivid and specific feature of modern poetic diction, depoetisation, is considered, the opinions of the German and Russian researchers are reproduced. Based on the analyses of free verses by modern German poets H.M. Enzensberger and H. Jackson, the author of the article comes to the conclusion, that prosaization of poetic diction is manifested both on lexical and synatactical levels of poetic text organisation. It is also stated that, depicted in the course of analyses of the empirical material, tendency of the usage of enjambment in free rhymes, contributing to its specific intonational tension, deposes versionable status of narrative verlibre
