ASSESSMENT OF THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN UKRAINE

The world community is guided by a conscious choice of strategic goals, based on perfect information research and computer modeling. Along with this, information technology is an integral accompanying tool for finding, collecting, analyzing the necessary information in all areas, directions and at all levels of socially important problems. Nowadays, information technology deeply penetrates into the economy, politics, social sphere and consequently have a high influence on the country development, improving the quality of life. The influence of the country technological readiness is directly proportional to its' financial and economic potential. Moreover, it defines the country role on the global market. The article describes the scientific and methodological approach to assessing the development of information technology in Ukraine. Based on mathematical calculations, the upper and lower limits of the integrated indicator are determined, based on five indicators describing the technological direction. Based on the obtained results, an analysis of the state and prospects of information technology development in Ukraine was conducted.
