Abstract

Analysis of changes in intra-industry trade in goods of Ukraine after the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU is important for the study of the economic effects and pro-European directions of orientation of the Ukrainian economy. The article deals with the dynamics of foreign trade of Ukraine, the structure of export of goods to EU countries, dependence on world markets, examines the current state and tendencies of development of domestic and interbranch trade of Ukraine in international exchange with EU countries as a factor of deepening integration, examines the issues of strengthening the market dependence of Ukraine to the EU, and to external markets in general, analyzes the reorientation of trade from East to West. The degree of trade concentration with the countries of the European Union is calculated in the article and the dependence of commodity export component of economy of Ukraine on external factors is analyzed. The effect of intra-industry trade was calculated using the Grubel-Lloyd index and the CR-4 ratio. The concentration index of export of goods using the Hirschman index is calculated. The influence of creation of a free trade area of Ukraine with the EU on the change of intra-industry trade of Ukraine is determined. It is established that for the main articles of export there is more intersectoral trade than for imported goods. It is proved that European integration as a whole has led to an intensification of the intra-industry character of Ukraine's mutual trade with the EU.
