Abstract

The rapid and effective transformation of organizational mechanisms in the tourist industry against the background of socio-economic processes in Ukraine is a very important problem. In the modern world tourism is a versatile phenomenon closely linked with economics, history, geography, architecture, medicine, culture, sports and other branches. However, none of them can fully and comprehensively characterise it as an object of its own research, none of the existing socio-economic institutions can solve the whole complex of its problems independently. Analysing the perspectives for the development of the tourist industry in Ukraine for the next 10 years, first of all it should be noted that modern tourism is a branch of the economy and vital functions of the society as a whole, which integrates practically all branches to a certain degree. This determines one of the leading places of tourism in the world economy. This factor should become the main point in forming the new state approach to tourism as an industry which priority development can positively influence the economic and social situation of the country as a whole, stimulate a number of important branches of the economy and contribute to strengthening the new positive image of Ukraine on the world arena [2, p. 84]. Taking into account the great influence of the tourist industry on the country's economic and social development and branching of the economic ties, it needs the regulation and support from the state. The transition to market relations and severe competition require the solution of new tasks connected with the necessity of the adequate response of the state to the significant changes in both the external and internal environment of tourist industry organizations functioning. The need for solving these tasks, that together constitute an important national economic problem, is largely stipulated by the lack of modern organizational and methodological support.
