FEATURES OF YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT IN DIGITAL ECONOMICS

The fourth industrial revolution significantly affects the labor market and youth unemployment. Solving the problem of youth unemployment is becoming an urgent task of the economic policy of every country in the world. Reducing youth employment, especially in crisis and post-crisis conditions, is one of the most serious problems. Unresolved youth employment problems have such socio-economic consequences: rising unemployment; decline in living standards; the spread of passive unregulated and destructive patterns of behavior; increase in external labor migration; psychological changes that lead to a loss of motivation to work, changes in value orientations and a drop in legal employment. The digital economy is changing the content of labor, its organization and forms. It creates new opportunities for young people and at the same time creates many risks and problems. Adaptation of the labor market to dynamic technological processes requires a deeper study of the impact of the digital economy on youth unemployment, and the development of institutional channels for involving young people in social reproduction. Overcoming the negative impact of the digital economy on employment is on the path to creating an inclusive environment, tight integration of production and education, an effective policy to support youth employment, as well as state regulation of social and labor relations. Modern technology is accompanied by changes in the content of labor, they require a new profile of specialties, new knowledge, both technical and humanitarian. To improve the efficiency of youth employment, it is advisable to restructure the education system. The article describes the features of youth unemployment in Ukraine, its causes and consequences. Theories of economic science of labor market research, in particular the phenomenon of unemployment, are analyzed. Ways to overcome youth unemployment by updating employment on digital platforms are proposed.
