THEORETICAL APPROACHES TO EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF OPERATING THE PRODUCTION INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE REGION

This article provides an analysis and identifies the problems of the regional production infrastructure in Uzbekistan. The article focuses on the concepts of production and social infrastructure. Specified features and functions of the production infrastructure. The author, in the framework of the article, emphasizes that the development of the production infrastructure of the regions is a key factor in the stable functioning of the national and regional economy. This article is aimed at exploring the priority areas for the development of the infrastructure complex of the regions of Uzbekistan. The potential for the development of the production infrastructure of any territory is peculiar in the presence of natural resources, land fertility climate and other indicators. The production infrastructure of the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan includes such aspects as the provision of the production sector with electricity, natural gas, raw materials, transport, communications, etc. The problems associated with production infrastructure are decreasing from year to year, but still not eradicated. This article discusses the main basic problems of infrastructure in the field of production of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev Sh. M. No. PP-4565 01/10/2020 «On Measures for the Development of the Social and Industrial Infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan In 2020–2022», the goal was set to implement the tasks identified by the Action Strategy for the five priority areas for the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017–2021, as well as the development of social, engineering and communications and road transport infrastructure in the regions. The elimination of existing problems, their prevention in the future (at the regional level) and the development of infrastructure is the key to the success of the country's economy, and solving the problems that have arisen in the development of the production infrastructure of the regions, we will ensure the stable functioning of the national and regional economies and increase the demand of economic entities for infrastructure services. And it is precisely this fact that makes the study of the potential for the development of the production infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the regional (territorial) aspect relevant and appropriate.
