Digital competence of future economics: stages of formation, content and resources

Abstract

The processes of digitalization of the economy in Ukraine and the world put on additional requirements on the level of digital competence skills of future economists, which is forming during their studies at a higher education institution. Competitiveness in the labor market directly depends on the level of skills of digital competence. The state policy in training future specialists in economics, European and International standards of digital competencies both at the personal and institutional level are analyzed, in particular, the global standard DQ (digital intelligence), which will be needed in an era of rapid technological change, digitization and risk, which accompany them. The proposed article focuses on a new approach to the formation of the digital competence of economists, which сonsists in changing the content of training according to international frameworks of digital competence and digital intelligence, application of complex practice-oriented and problem-oriented teaching methods, digital tools services for training future economists and organizations educational process. A method of step-by-step training of specialists in a new level of economics, which includes three stages: basic, creative and productive, is proposed. Theoretical and practical training in accordance with the program of the course «Information Systems and Technologies in Economics» gives the opportunity to form components of digital competence level «digital citizenship», using of case study in the competence task allows to form components of digital competence level «digital creativity», implementation of practice-oriented business cases with the use of real production situations during training practice that will meet the modern requirements of the digital economy of the country, gives the opportunity to form components of digital competence at the level of «digital entrepreneurship». The offered complex of materials and tasks of discipline is directed on formation components of digital competence of students of economic specialties which are focused on overcoming of challenges of digital economy with application of modern information technologies
