Abstract

Leiomyoma is common benign smooth muscle tumour of uterus usually affecting women of reproductive age group. Occurrence of leiomyoma after hysterectomy is very rare and very few cases are reported so far. We report a case of leiomyoma presenting as retroperitoneal tumour in a 40 years old woman who had undergone myomectomy 20 years back and subsequent hysterectomy for recurrent fibroid uterus 13 years back. We are presenting this case for its rarity.
