It has been established that Yakiv Kolubovsky's main methodological basis lies in his assertion of the borrowed nature of Russian philosophy, pedagogy and psychology as well as ways of thinking which depend on philosophy. Hlukhiv resident Ya. Kolubovskyi's contribution to the popularization of pedagogical ideas is writing articles thematically related to education for the Brockhaus-Efron's Encyclopaedic Dictionary, but also in the fundamental characterization of outstanding thinkers' from different historical eras pedagogical views.
