Abstract

Introduction. The approaches to phenomenon of the quality of education as a political, social, pedagogical category are accentuated in the article; the determination of quality of education as integrated concept is presented; the sense of concept of monitoring of quality of education from positions of system approach is specified; methodological aspects of monitoring of quality of education are highlighted; concepts monitoring and control in activity of the head of educational institution are divorced; a definition of school system of monitoring is given. One of the mechanisms that will contribute to the modernization of management, quality control of education is monitoring. The introduction of monitoring research will help to create an information system for monitoring the quality of education and performance of the educational institution. An important feature of monitoring is the prognostic nature of the conclusions. Approaches to the interpretation of the essence of the phenomenon of «monitoring the quality of professional training of future teachers of labour education and technology» and various technological aspects of its implementation in the school are not properly developed. Purpose. The aim of the article is to reveal theoretical and methodological aspects of monitoring the quality of professional training of future teachers of labour education and technology. Methods. Theoretical analysis and generalization of psychological-pedagogical and scientific-methodical literature of Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the problem of research, pedagogical observations were used. Results. The quality of any object is not a static formation; it can change, be formed under the influence of other objects with which this object is interconnected. Today, scientists and practitioners update the category of «quality», says V. G. Kremin, precisely because the change of ideas, knowledge, technology is faster than the change of the human generation. Let's turn to the concept of «quality of education». The analysis of the scientific literature allows us to state that it differs significantly in interpretation from different authors, is freely used in an inappropriate context, which creates a «chaos of definitions.» The quality level of professional training of future teachers of labour education and technology is ensured through the implementation of control and analytical management function and through appropriate mechanisms control and monitoring. Modern pedagogical science uses a systems approach (system-structural; system-functional; structural-functional), the essence of which is a systemic vision of reality. The systems approach makes it possible to study not the parts (elements) that make up the whole, but the relationships and connections of various elements of the whole. Originality. The main difficulties in the implementation of monitoring technologies are the choice of information-criterion core (measurement area - criterion - indicator). The monitoring system allows to assess the quality of professional training of future teachers of labour education and technology, if standards are set, there are measurable values, criteria are set by which to judge the achievement of standards, data is collected and evaluated, appropriate measures are taken. Criteria for assessing the quality of professional training of future teachers of labour education and technology «should be determined in accordance with the objectives of the educational institution, their number should be minimal, but sufficient to assess the most important parameters. Conclusion. If monitoring studies are conducted regularly, it will allow identifying negative factors and omissions in the work, to predict the further development of the educational institution, to develop and implement measures to improve the practice of teaching and education.
