Total Quality Management in Secondary Education and its Relationship to Student's Satisfaction: A Case Study of the Second Ghobeiry Public Secondary School for Girls

Abstract

There is no doubt that total quality management affects administrative method to raise the quality of educational outcomes, and the opinion of the students is an indication of its adoption. Therefore, this study aims to measure the level of students' satisfaction, and determine the effect of the relationship between achieving the requirements of TQM at students' satisfaction. The opinions of 142 female students of a secondary school were surveyed using a special form. Relying on SPSS, the study concluded that TQM application requirements is to agree to a moderate degree, and that there is a significant relationship between the level of achieving TQM requirements and the students' satisfaction, and that there are no significant differences between the level of students' satisfaction between the first and second grades. There are significant differences between the level of student satisfaction in favor of the third secondary grade versus the level of students' satisfaction in the first and second grades. It concluded some recommendations directed to the school administrations to be taken into consideration in order to understand the reality more accurately and identify the deficiencies and work on them to improve the quality of education by activating the TQM in secondary schools.
