Abstract

He article reveals the essence and types of scientific research, regardless of the field of activity of the scientist. Scientific research is a special type of human activity aimed at acquiring new, deeper knowledge. Depending on the various classification criteria, the following types of scientific research are distinguished: fundamental; applied; search engines, developments, empirical, theoretical, descriptive, searching, explanatory. The essence of the objects of scientific research is defined and the classification of objects of scientific research is given. The object of research is usually called what the cognitive activity of the researcher is aimed at, that is, the process or phenomenon that gives rise to the problem situation and is chosen for research. The object is relatively autonomous and has clear boundaries. There are natural, social, and idealized objects. The classification of the objects of study is carried out according to two methods: by the presence and absence of features – it consists in the fact that most of the objects are divided into two classes. One of them has a certain property, and the other does not; by the modification of attributes – consists in the fact that the members of the division are such aggregates of objects, in each of which the characteristic common to all aggregates is manifested in a special way, with certain variations. It is expedient to divide scientific research into stages: organizational; Research; generalization, approbation, implementation of research results.
