Abstract
The article examines the essence of the category of labor economy transformation in the context of new industrial stages. It explores the impact of technological progress, digitalization, and automation on the structure, content, and organization of labor. The historical development of theoretical approaches to labor economics, from classical economists to modern concepts addressing the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is analyzed. Key trends in labor market changes, including the rise of the gig economy, platform employment, and the transformation of human capital roles amid automation and artificial intelligence integration, are identified. The article emphasizes the need to rethink traditional labor economy models to ensure effective adaptation to current challenges and to develop new institutional approaches. The study aims to establish theoretical foundations for further research and practical solutions in labor resource development.
