Abstract

Oral Disintegrating Tablets (ODTs) have become a valuable alternative to traditional oral dosage forms, particularly for patients with difficulty swallowing, such as children, the elderly, and those with certain medical conditions. Oral Disintegrating Tablets (ODTs) offer benefits such as ease of use without the need for water, rapid onset of action, improved patient compliance, accurate dosing, convenience, and discretion, making them ideal for individuals who have difficulty swallowing pills or need quick relief. In tablets, super disintegrates are incorporated in the right amount for quick disintegration with improved bioavailability. They are particularly beneficial for those suffering from dysphagia, motion sickness, and conditions requiring immediate drug action. This review describes the formulation and management of the disease.
