ACCESSIBILITY OF OBJECTS AND SERVICES FOR DISABLED (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE SMALL AND BIG CITIES OF THE VOLOGDA REGION)

The main results of the research of availability of socially significant objects and services for disabled people in the small and large cities of the Vologda region are presented in the article. Data of the sociological survey conducted in the territory of the Vologda region became initial materials for the analysis. Distribution of positive and negative estimates of availability of objects and services for disabled people on the considered cities is given. The most and the least adapted spheres of activity for needs of disabled people are allocated. Assumptions concerning the reasons of prevalence of pessimistic estimates of availability of the environment in the small and large cities are made.
