Abstract

The article provides a description of the main risks of social adaptation of mi- grants. With the loss of inner circle ? close friends, relatives, neighbors, community ? workers lose a signifi cant portion of social support. Many of them are not suffi ciently fl uent in Rus- sian, Russian laws do not know, have no idea about the realities of Russian life. Migrants in the shortest time necessary to solve the housing and fi nancial problems, to adapt to a foreign culture. Problems of social adaptation lead to the closure in his ethnic group, which may con- tribute to their retraction in various extremist groups. In the article the social adaptation of migrants is seen as the process of adaptation of the individual to the new social environment and the adoption of its standards and values
