Abstract

In the work it’s developed approaches to the forming of homogeneous structural and functional groups of banks, elaborated criteria for separating of groups of banks, formalized their identifiable characteristics, investigated tendencies and dynamics of their development in Ukraine based on analysis of structural and functional groups. Suggested approaches can provide the early diagnostics of threats of banks’ financial stability loss, improve the system of the evaluating control indexes of the banks activities. Evaluation of the bank risks must be held in the direction from general, system tendencies to individual, habitual to some banks or groups of banks. For all this it is necessary to raise demands to the evaluation of the current state of the banking system, carrying out the systematic structure analysis and financial stability diagnostics of the individual groups of banks. The results of analysis of the financial state of banks are presented by means of neuron network model of clusterization - self-organizing map of Kohonen. Advantages of grouping of banks are reasonable depending on structural-functional descriptions. To conduct adequate analysis it is necessary to use the set of instruments adapted to the structure and profile of risks at certain stages of system developing and separate structural and functional banks’ groups. It was suggested to use differentiated approach to individual structural and functional bank groups and dynamic modelling of banks’ financial condition with the help of Kohonen’s self-organizing map. Financial indicators of a certain bank obtain a new qualitative assessment, taking into account his place in a variable system of banking system indicators.
