Abstract
The problem in this research is the daily value of third grade students SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya who have not reached the KKM and teachers are still using classical methods and talkactive. This study aimed to describe the Application of Brunner Learning Theory with Realistic Mathematics Education Approach in III Class SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. This research is quantitative descriptive, aims to describe student achievement, student activities, the activities of teachers and students responses after the application of Bruner learning theory with realistic mathematics education approach. This research was conducted in SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. The subjects were students of III class which amounted to 17 and divided into four groups. The data collection was done by using tests, observations, questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed by using percentage. The results show that the application of Bruner learning theory with realistic mathematics education approach can improve student achievement III Class SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya amount of 26.22%, student activities amount 87.4%, teacher activities amount 91.6% and the students response to application of Bruner learning theory with realistic mathematics education approach amount 96.7%.
