Abstract

One of the factors that affect student learning outcomes is a learning model that applied in the learning process. There are many learning models but there is a good learning model and proper to be applied, that is learning model that emphasizes the activity of students to learn and lead to the problems of everyday life that can be understood by students, problem based learning model of instruction. Classroom action research with research subjects VIIIC grade students of SMP R. Rahmat Balongbendo Sidoarjo in academic year 2014/2015. The experiment was conducted in two cycles of action. To know the results of student learning using the test methods of data collection techniques, methods of observation. The results show that mathematics learning outcomes of junior class VIIIC R. Rahmat Balongbendo Sidoarjo students are increased. Preliminary data before doing the UTS is 48.57%, after the implementation model of learning in the cognitive aspects of 54.29% completed the first cycle after the second cycle increased to 100% complete. Increased student activity affective aspects of 73.10% in the first cycle after the second cycle increased to 80.65%. Increased activity of students psychomotor aspects of 70.86% in the first cycle after the second cycle increased to 80.76%.
