Objective. Systematization of international experience of rental income accumula-tion and use through sovereign wealth funds. Methods. The very analysis of rental income accumulation and redistribution prob-lems is based on the basic of the economic theory fundamental provisions, the leading sci-entists works, analytical reports state and public economic institutions and international financial organizations. Such researches of the world experience of sovereign wealth funds formation and functioning were conducted in different countries using a structural ap-proach, methods of logical, comparative and statistical analysis, and methods of groups. Results. The world experience of sovereign wealth funds formation and functioning was systematized. The periodization of funds development in the world economy was per-formed. It was proposed to understand the content of the economic category «sovereign wel-fare Fund» as a system of economic relations between the participants (founders, owners, creditors, beneficiaries, etc.), in the process of funds (assets) formation, placement and use The place and role of sovereign funds in the system of rent relations regulation as an im-portant element of the mechanism of accumulation and use of rental income was determined. Scientific novelty. The point that that sovereign wealth funds are an important ele-ment of the distribution and use mechanism of rental income in the system of rent relations was argued. Sovereign wealth funds perform the instrument role as for regulation of rent relations on the accumulation, distribution and consumption of rental income (or fractions thereof) to optimize the structure of national economy, to develop social sphere, to protect environment, to create a reserve for future generations. Practical significance. We need world experience adaptation of sovereign wealth funds formation and functioning to improve the mechanisms of accumulation, distribution, redistribution, and use or rental income in the national economy.
