Abstract

The aims of this research were: (1) to develop of learning tools the lesson study of syllabus and lesson plan; (2) to evaluate the feasibility of lesson study syllabus; (3) to measures the effectiveness of lesson study the syllabus and lesson plan products on subjects lathe mechanical techniques; and (4) to measures the feasibility of lesson study and the effectiveness of learning lathe mechanical techniques. This research was based on research development Richey & Klein (2010). This research implemented in SMK N 2 Depok, Sleman of 30 students of grade XI TP-B. Phases of development consisted of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Test validation implemented through internal and external testing. Data collection techniques used that tests, questionnaires, in-depth interviews, documentation, and field observations. Analysis data used qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed: (1) the product development of lesson study syllabus and lesson plan have characteristics that mutual learning and scientific approach; (2) the products syllabus assessment and lesson plan were feasible to be used; (3) the effectiveness of learning using the lesson study syllabus and lesson plan on the subjects of lathe mechanical techniques results on the aspects of knowledge, attitude, and skill were better than the standard value of minimum completeness criteria (MCC); and (4) the response of the observers and the teacher toward applying the lesson study syllabus and lesson plan was very good and response of students toward the effectiveness of learning on lathe mechanical practice was good.
