Abstract

This study aims to produce student self-assessment tool which appropriate for Electrical Maintenance Subjects in SMK Light Vehicle and to investigate the characteristics of the student self-assessment that is valid, reliable, and practical. This research is development research which refers to Borg & Gall method with development design consists of ten steps. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta and SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The subjects were students of class XI Skill Competency TKR. The collecting data used was techniques of interview, observation, documentation, and assessment instrument. data analysis techniques used was descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques with methods of Corrected Item-Total Correlations. Validity review of the content used was intraclass correlation coefficient with rater assessment review for assessing rater consistency. The results of this research is a set of student self-assessment consists of assessment instruments, assessment rubrics, and the guidance of assessment developments. The tool of student self-assessment of electrical subjects in vocational education otherwise meet the criteria of valid, reliable, and practical.
