MACHIAVELLIANISM AS A PERSONAL FEATURE OF LEADER

Abstract
The critical analysis of the issue of interrelation machiavellianism as a special form of manipulation approach in interpersonal relations and leaderships is presented in this article. At the analysis the basic qualities of person with Machiavellianism type of domination are allocated and their value in display of leadership abilities is considered. Studying the issue in a context of leaders typology specifies inadmissibility of absolutism and excessive generalization in estimation of machiavellianism as a personal feature of leader. Not denying the specific interrelation between two variables – machiavellianism and leadership abilities, the theoretical analysis proves that such correlation is basically characteristic for competitive model of leadership.
