Abstract
Glass-reinforced plastics articles used under the conditions of high temperatures and affected by open fire have to meet severe requirements of thermal and flame resistance. In this regard, the analysis of scientific and practical data on application of various flame retardants, which do not affect the main properties of glass-reinforced plastic, was conducted. The analysis of application of the modern flame retarders as additives to covering layer of an article and fibrous materials included in glass-reinforced plastic was carried out.
