Abstract
The paper deals with the carreer of American composer of the second half of the twentieth century, Morton Feldman. In the last decade of his life, he began to collect and study old Turkish rugs, which were made using a special technique named abrash and Turkish square knots. The composer emphasized many times in his articles that old rugs affected his late pieces. So we tried to observe how the ideas of Turkish rugs could be realized in the works of Feldman.
