Abstract
The sources of new romanticism in A. N. Burganov's works of art are examined in the article. He embodied his fantastical images, in which the poetic metaphor played a great role. During a long creative period Burganov's romanticism developed and evolved under the influences of the main styles of Western European and Russian art.
