Abstract
This article examines the key stages in the development of art, and its characteristics, of talented Moscow painter V. P . Orekhova, tracing the creative path and evolution of her technique. We focus on making a picture of the creative research and mechanisms of creating images. We give a comparative analysis of the artistic concept and technological methods of its embodiment. This article traces in detail the evolution of themes, subjects and imagery in the works of V. Orekhova. Particular attention is paid to the portrayal of mythical clashes by the artist in her paintings — variations on the theme of worldviews distant from one another across different strata of world culture. Based on an analysis of the work of the artist across different periods, several directions can be traced: literary, mythological, figurative and reminiscent (ancient heritage, the works of Theophanesthe Greek, Botticelli, Chagall, Paul Klee) as examples of creative revisionism.
