Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of professional and sociocultural situation in the process of Kazakhstan art of the period of 1960—1980s formation. Main creative tendencies and regularities of a national school formation are defined, which reflected peculiarities both the entire Soviet and national art of those years on the way of search of identity in the context of east-west cultural synthesis — avant-garde, romanticism, post-modernism.
