Abstract
This article is devoted to analysis of the piano Suite by Nikolai Tcherepnin «the Tale of the fisherman and the fish» from the point
of view of some genre and stylistic peculiarities. One of the main features of Tcherepnin's tale becomes visible it's intonation, genre, compositional techniques, aimed at compelling the transfer of Pushkin's story. The composition created in the genre of musical illustrations, is a rather rare phenomenon in the panorama of national and world piano miniature and reflects typical tendencies of the Silver age.
