Abstract
This work is devoted relationship between sacral and religious aspects in modern sculpture as exemplified in pieces of Tula sculptor, A.N. Burganov's apprentice, I.L. Kotenev (1955—2013). General problems and their background are investigated; formal and imaginative analogies with sculpture of different epochs are characterized.
