ANALYSIS OF MERSIN UNIVERSITY’S CENTRAL CAFFETERIA BY STUDENTS’PERCEIVED QUALITY, SATISFACTION AND PERCEIVED

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse the central cafeteria's food and beverage services provided for sutudents in Mersin University using students' perceptions. Analyses dimensions were choosen as perceieved quality, satisfaction and risk of these services. Using quota sampling, a total of 734 students were participated to the study. In analyzing the findings, first the scales in the questionnaires were analyzed using factor analysis. The factors then were tested using t-test and one way variance (ANOVA) analysis. The findings showed that students perceived quality's service reliability to responsiveness and assurance; about the perceieved risk, time, financial and phisicaldimensions were ranked first. In addition we found students have middle level quality perception and satisfaction about services of Mersin University's Central Cafeteria. According to the demographic characteristics of students the irquality and risk perception and satisfaction levels have been detected at various level.
