GAMES TECHNOLOGIES AS AN EFFECTIVE MEANS OF TEACHINING THE PROFESSIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATION TO FUTURE SPECIALISTS OF DIFFERENT SPECIALITIES

Abstract

In the article under consideration is characterized the feasibility of using games technologies as an effective means of training of professional foreign language communication to future specialists. In today's higher educational establishment there is an urgent need in expanding of active forms of teaching. These active forms of teaching include games technologies. The concept “games pedagogical technologies” includes a large group of methods and techniques of teaching process. Information technologies are an integral part of pedagogical technologies, one of the most unique interactive forms of teaching, which allows activating all psychological processes and functions of the student. Another positive feature of the game is that it promotes the use of knowledge in a new situation, brings variety and interest in the learning process. It allows to build professional foreign language communication in high school in such a way, that student can understand and accept learning objectives put by the teacher, and at the same time he/she will be an active participant in their implementation. Information technologies include such methods of learning as follows: business and educational games, game situations; playing techniques and procedures; discussions and trainings in active mode. In teaching focusing on professional foreign language communication, the games activity performs the following functions: educational – it promotes the development of general learning abilities and skills (such as memory, attention, perception of information of different modality), native and foreign language skills development; educative – it simulates the behaviour in game models of life situations; entertaining – it creates a favorable atmosphere on the lessons, transforming lesson into an exciting journey; educational and educative – it helps mastering a foreign language, taking into account the educative aspect; communicative – it unites students in a single team, helps establish emotional contacts, promotes communication abilities and skills. During the teaching of future specialists of professional foreign language communication using playing technologies is provided the communicative competence of students. Games in training the experts for professional foreign language communication is an effective learning tool, they significantly facilitate the intensification of the learning process and cognitive activity, significantly increase the motivation for learning foreign languages, provide mastering of the maximum number of speech patterns of business communication.
