Abstract

In the conditions of globalization, the problem of spiritual development does not lose its relevance, and vice versa – is indeed a strategic objective. Today's society is facing a crisis in political, economic, social and cultural spheres of life caused by the loss of Christian values. The crisis in society determines the existence of a contradictory system of social values. The national educational system has not clearly defined the moral standards of life of people who could serve as an ideal for future generations. Based on theoretical analysis and encyclopedic textbooks the article specifies the essence of the concepts of "spirituality", "spiritual development." It is proved that under the concept of spirituality it is necessary to understand the integrative quality of the individual that determines the value of life purport and provides spiritual development of the individual. In spiritual development we mean the process of individual and personal involvement in the spiritual culture of society, gaining valuable human spiritual qualities, acquirement of human values and human experience during the spiritual practice and individual personal development. The paper presents the means of spiritual development - nature, history, folklore of his native land. It is proved that a significant impact on students' spiritual development has the nature of his native land. There are presented famous sample works of artists, in which are portrayed the beauty and majesty of the motherland. There is proved that the spiritual needs of students in the lessons of literary regional ethnography can also be satisfied through the works of various genres of folklore, tales, proverbs, riddles, songs, legends, and so on. So, folklore is aimed not only at expanding the cognitive interests of students, but also the formation of value consciousness. In the context of this study is singled out the moral and value trend, which is based on the spiritual values and Christian morality. To this block, we include the texts in vivid form that reflect spiritual, moral and religious values of the people of their native land. Thus, the article presents four thematic blocks focused on a system which will enrich the spiritual experience of students, promote spiritual development, the development of ethical skills, creative thinking, increasing of the general level of culture.
