Abstract

The article analyzes the educational ideas in the content of the periodicals of the clergy of Mukachevo eparchy "Dushpastyr". The experience of mankind shows that every ethnic group, people or nation by taking into account regional conditions of development claim their own spiritual values. A cornerstone of western Ukrainian culture recognized the Greek Catholic Church. In the bosom of the Greek Catholic Church the Ukrainian population asserted itself as a nation and crystallized their state ideas. In the historical memory of the population of Transcarpathian region the institutional framework of the Greek-Catholic Church is due to the jurisdiction of the Episcopal authority of the Bishop of Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese (1771). One of the directions of activity of the diocese was educational - spiritual training of the individual believer in the Church society. Among the communications of the clergy (and later Pryashevsky) which most clearly represents spiritual ideas was journal " Dushpastyr" (1924 – 1939). In the edition, official orders of the bishops were published in category "Official part". The remaining articles were divided into sections: apologetics, practical ministry (questions of priests and qualified answer), ascetic – spiritual life, canon law, sermons, news, and review of religious literature. Analysis of the publications shows that the Greek Catholic clergy played a significant role in the formation of the Transcarpathian community by educating believers on the basis of the formation of the Christian worldview, exchange knowledge, feelings, patterns of behavior, during which moral and ethical system was produced. Edition materials provided the opportunity to present spiritual heritage of mankind in the Ukrainian language. In the process of spiritual development were formed two complementary systems of values: the first – under the influence of education and the second – under the influence of emotions: faith, love, excellence, kindness, honesty, justice, wisdom, moderation and others. The main idea of preaching was to form at people Christian worldview, develop theoretical and practical knowledge to implement the doctrine, provide role models for imitation. Moral values, ideas, guidelines are the product of our history and culture. Through sermons and catechism are implemented three lines: humanitarian, moral, Christian. In the form of verbal rules, laws, requirements, prohibitions, admonitions from the spiritual father to the flock transmitted values and provided them with a content.
