Abstract

The theoretic analysis has been conducted on issues of secularization process in sociology as well as secularization process. The notion of the process of secularization has been considered in each scientific approach regarding this phenomenon in foreign and national sociology. The central problem, to which the main attention has been paid, gives the opportunity to understand the secularization process in the modern society as one of the key stages in the process of society transformation from traditional manner of life to man-caused one. In the public mind the considered opposition is reflected in the presence of two extreme points of view - objectivism and normatyvizm. The first is presented by sociology of religion, the second − by a modern confessional theology. Both positions recognize the importance of development of procedures of religion expertise - particularly theoretical evaluation of the prospects of social development of secularization of religion, which will make it possible to remove the tension in this area. However, analysis of methodological proposals of these areas and their followers in social and political movements (liberals and traditionalists) shows that without the involvement of sociological methodology one can not: first, give a clear idea about the nature of faith and religious practice secular features; second, arrange the priority rights of everyone to freedom of choice of its ideology, religion; thirdly, help all participants of modern religious process to better undertsnad each other.
