Abstract
In this article the questions of medical-social work with different categories of population are discussed. Special attention is paid to the children – victims of violence. The main forms of violence are considered. The criteria of readiness of future social work professionals for medical and social work are defined. Cognitive criterion: the presence of knowledge of the variations in behavior and the causes that lead to these deviations in the case of children –victims of violence, knowledge of the processes of prevention, forms and methods of social and medical work with children. Value-motivational criterion: interest in the problems of children – victim of violence, need for activities with such children, based on sympathy, desire to help. Technological criterion: projective, structural, organizational, communication, gnostic skills. Subjective criterion: the ability to establish partnerships, enhance personal available potential resources of the object of social work, the ability to organize social and medical work , taking into account individual psychological characteristics of children who are the objects of work. Thus, the levels of readiness of future social workers to medical and social work with children–victims of violence may be defined as high, average and low. The first–high level of readiness to medical and social work with children –victims of violence means: full understanding of children deviant behaviour and all possible causes; knowledge of types and forms, main characteristics of medical and social work (cognitive criterion); deep interest in the theory and practice of deviant behaviour of children – victims of violence, a clear need for activities with such children, based on sympathy (value-motivational criterion); availability of advanced projective, structural, organizational, communication, gnostic skills (technological criterion); the ability to establish quickly professionally productive partnerships, enhance personal available potential resources of the object of social work, organize social and medical work, taking into account individual psychological characteristics of individuals who are objects of social work (subjective criterion). The average level of readiness indicates the presence all these indicators and, however, their lack of expression. Low level of readiness is characterized by the absence of the overwhelming majority of the above figures.
