INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL METHODS AS A WAY OF FORMATION OF STUDENTS’ SOCIO-ETHICAL VALUES AT FOREIGN LANGUAUGE LESSONS

Abstract
The most important feature of the current educational system of higher school is to reproduce the representation on the education of students as a permanent feature of society. Implementation of educational objectives provides education spiritual elite by creating the necessary conditions for the free development of the individual student, his thinking and social and ethical culture in the future professional activity. One of the effective means of forming socio-ethical values among students at foreign language lessons is the use of a set of innovative teaching methods (project method, method of situations, method of discussions, business games). Using the project method at English lessons by the lectures is allowed to form students' socio-ethical grounds of their future professional activity. It is based on the ability of students to navigate the information space and to independently design their knowledge in the study of foreign languages for professional communication. Among a number of special methods which is used successfully there is the method of integration of the students in the selected foreign language situations. We draw our attention to the fact that modeling of the situations and finding the solutions of them stimulate all participants to actively thinking, efficiency and diversity in decision-making. Although, the student does not perform a professional activity but he performs a social role in a modeling situation and passes certain stages of professionalization. To active methods of formation of socio-ethical values and appropriate behavior we include a method of discussions which is aimed at the development of students' social adaptation in terms of professional activity, personal and professional creativity, to consolidate the socio-ethical behavior. The study, which was carried out with the third and fourth-year students, has allowed us to reveal one of the most effective methods of formation of socio-ethical values ─ the business games. We have proposed a list of specific rules to the students in order to make these games more successful. So, targeted using the innovative methods of formation of students' socio-ethical values at foreign language lessons provides a strengthening of the social and ethical norms of person's behavior and their active manifestation in different society and in various situations and all these things are reflected in the ethical integrity, responsibility and future professional activity. The manifestation of such socio-ethical values proves that the responsibility for the personal actions and social responsibility for others are substantial characteristics of socio-ethical maturity of students.
